Lavender for anxiety & sleep quality:
A study examined the effects of lavender essential oil aromatherapy on anxiety and sleep quality in patients undergoing chemotherapy. There was a significant difference in the lavender group and a significant change in the Pittsburgh Quality Sleep Index before and after chemotherapy was observed.
Lavender and chamomile essential oil for stress:
According to a study published in PudMed, a group of participants was divided into three groups, the lavender, the chamomile and control groups. The participants inhaled the essential oils for 30 nights whereas the control group inhaled water in a similar fashion. There was statistically significant improvement in depression, anxiety, and stress levels immediately and one month for the participants who inhaled the oils.
Sandalwood & Lavender essential oil for calming:
In a study involving a stressed group of participants, a group was asked to inhalelavender and sandalwood essential oils. The group was shown to have lower blood pressure and cortisol levels. The results demonstrate lavender and sandalwood essential oils can help with psychological stress and recovery after exposure to stress.
Lavender and Sweet Orange Essential Oil for sleep quality:
In a study conducted in Iran, Orange and Lavender essential oils were topically applied on participants three times a week for three weeks whereas the control group just received routine care. The group that was using essential oils reportedly had better quality sleep.

In a study involving a group of volunteers, a group was asked to inhale Sweet Orange essential Oil, Tea Tree Essential Oil or water during the anxiogenic situation. The results showed that Sweet Orange reduces anxiety.
Vetiver for reducing stress:
In a study performed on rats, researchers checked how different concentrations and delivery times of vetiver essential oil affected cortisol levels. The Forced Swim Test (FST) was employed in this work as a stressor on rats. Both 10% and 30% vetiver essential oil concentrations were administered.The results showed that there is a significant reduction in cortisol levels by administering vetiver essential oil with 10% concentration.
